The Marketing Data Science Specialist will support marketing research initiatives and data analysis. This role helps analyze consumer trends, survey results, and marketing performance data to uncover actionable insights that inform client strategies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and Analytics
    • Conducting data quality assurance to ensure accuracy and completeness of data, including research data.
    • Supporting analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends and patterns
    • Leveraging secondary research data sources to extract and analyze consumer insights.
    • Engaging with research panels to recruit respondents for surveys and studies.
  • Marketing Technology
    • Assisting in marketing research efforts, including survey programming, testing (Alchemer), data collection, and analysis.
    • Building interactive dashboards and reports in Meyocks’ proprietary reporting suite for internal teams and client presentations.
    • Builds foundational dashboards and contributes to ongoing reporting enhancements in Tableau
    • Utilizing R and Python for data aggregation and to develop automation tools that improve workflow efficiency and operation processes.
  • Additional responsibilities and supporting tasks as necessary

 

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic data analysis skills with experience in Excel, SQL, Python, R or Tableau including cleaning, organizing, and preparing datasets for analysis and reporting.
  • Fundamental knowledge of statistical concepts (e.g., averages, variance, correlation) and how they apply to research.
  • A curious mindset and a desire to stay informed on marketing research trends, data science, consumer behavior, and data intelligence best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams across research, and account service.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and reliability of insights and the ability to handle sensitive data with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills, with a strong self-starter mentality and a drive for continuous learning.
  • Basic understanding of survey analytics, focus groups, and qualitative research methods.
  • Experience with research panel engagement and respondent recruitment.
  • Familiarity or willingness to learn data warehouses (Snowflake), cloud computing, data storage, and ELTs.
  • Good judgement, ability to execute multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities.
  • Ability to work under pressure.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, data analytics, statistics, business, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, market research, marketing intelligence, or related fields.

 

Other Requirements:

  • Occasional travel will be required for client meetings, conferences, professional training, or team collaboration sessions.
